Generalized Anxiety Disorder
People with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) have a sense of chronic anxiety or exaggerated worry, which is manifested by some of the following symptoms:
- Feeling restless, “keyed up”, or “on edge”
- Feeling “jumpy”
- Having difficulty concentrating while anxious
- Experiencing “mind going blank” due to anxiety
- Having unpleasant racing thoughts
- Fatigue
- Difficulty swallowing
- Trembling
- Twitching
- Sweating
- Having Hot Flashes
- Irritability
- Headaches
- Muscle tension
- Muscle aches
- Neck aches
- Backaches
- Initial insomnia
- Frequent awakening
- Unsatisfying sleep
